The Northwest Arkansas Naturals have signed a 10-year deal granting exclusive non-alcoholic beverage rights to Great Plains Coca-Cola Bottling Co.
Coke receives pouring rights and advertising rights in the stadium as part of the agreement. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We are pleased to enter into this long-term partnership with Coca-Cola,” Naturals General Manager Eric Edelstein said. “We look forward to fans enjoying the great products Coca-Cola offers when the Naturals return to Arvest Ballpark on April 4.”
Great Plains Coca-Cola, based out of Oklahoma City, will offer a variety of beverages, including Coke and Diet Coke, Dasani Water, Sprite and Dr Pepper and Diet Dr Pepper.
Pepsi has had pouring and advertising rights in Arvest Ballpark since 2008. This move keeps Coca-Cola as a player at northwest Arkansas sporting events after the University of Arkansas recently switched to Pepsi for its venues.
“The Northwest Arkansas Naturals provide an opportunity for up and coming baseball talent and are an active force in the local community of Northwest Arkansas,” said Don Bischoff, chief operating officer of Great Plains Coca-Cola Bottling Co. “At Coca-Cola, we share a passion for giving back to the local community and are proud to partner with the Naturals and support Minor League Baseball.”
