First Security Bank said Friday that it will add three bank branches in Pulaski County by the middle of 2014, an effort that includes purchasing and renovating a multipurpose office building on McCain Boulevard in North Little Rock.
The bank said it's working on adding branches at 15420 Chenal Parkway and No. 10 Bass Pro Drive, both in Little Rock, as well as 2504 McCain Blvd. in North Little Rock. The move will increase its central Arkansas presence from 29 to 32 locations.
First Security said it purchased the North Little Rock building, now known as 2504 McCain Place, last week. First Security said it renovate the building with an eye toward opening it in the second quarter of 2014. It will be renamed "First Security McCain," with the new banking center located on the first floor.
"We are thrilled to offer our customers more locations to take care of their banking needs," said John Rutledge, First Security Bank's president, said in a news release. "In everything we do, we think about how we can make our banking experience the best it can be, and we believe these new banking centers will make First Security even more accessible and convenient for central Arkansans."
Arkansas Business reported in August 2012 that First Security had the site near Bass Pro in the Gateway Town Center under contract. That location is set to open in November.
The Chenal office will begin construction this month and is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2014. Arkansas Business reported Aug. 5 that First Security purchased that site, at the northeast corner of Wellington Hills Drive and Chenal Parkway, for $1.08 million from 15400 Chenal LLC, led by Larry Crain Jr.
