61° Celsius, the Hot Springs advertising agency that took a new name last year, has a new creative director, Hot Springs native Aaron Buckley.
The hiring was announced last week by Stephanie Alderdice, president and owner of the agency, formerly Kirby & Co. Buckley was previously creative director for Matmon Internet, a Little Rock website development and digital media company.
“Aaron brings a new level of experience to our quickly growing agency,” Alderdice said in a statement. “He will not only serve as a designer of premium websites for our clients but will supervise our creative product in all mediums.
Buckley has had an award-winning career, Alderdice said, including a stints at several Los Angeles agencies where he worked on national and international accounts like Dockers, Universal Pictures and the Australian Tourist Commission.
“I am passionate about great work,” Buckley said. “I live for layouts, beautiful font combinations, color palettes and messaging. I enjoy working with teams and it gives me great pleasure to help others learn and to learn from others. I love fashion, photography, music and pop culture.”
61 Celsius works with many Hot Springs fixtures, including Visit Hot Springs, the Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, Oaklawn Foundation and the Downtown Association. It is also the agency of record for Stone Bank of Mountain View, which also has locations in Little Rock, Harrison and White Hall.
