Lawrence Healthcare of Walnut Ridge announced the hiring of Aaron Hilton as the system’s new president.
Hilton joins Lawrence Healthcare from St. Bernards Healthcare of Jonesboro. He follows Josh Conlee, who is leaving the role after five years to to become senior vice president of strategic services at St. Bernards.
Lawrence Healthcare has a management agreement with St. Bernards.
During Hilton’s two years with St. Bernards, he led the sterile processing department at St. Bernards Medical Center, restructured the department and implemented new tracking software for sterilized hospital instruments, according to a news release on the hiring.
Hilton also reorganized the St. Bernards Pregnancy Clinic to improve care for women with high-risk pregnancies. That service extends to Walnut Ridge, where the clinic has a presence at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Hilton was born in Lubbock, Texas and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina.
While at St. Bernards, he completed his master’s in health care administration through the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He earned his undergraduate degree in health care administration at Brigham Young University-Idaho, where he served as a missionary for two years before overseeing the university’s student health center.
He also worked as an emergency room patient transporter in Greensboro.
Hilton holds memberships with the American College of Healthcare Executives, the United Way of Northeast Arkansas and the Jonesboro Young Professional Network.
