American Safeguard Group Inc. of Conway announced that’s expanding to the northeast Arkansas market through the acquisition of Clark Property Insurance LLC of Jonesboro.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Conway firm, also known as American Safeguard Insurance, said the deal is part of a forward-looking strategy to scale and diversify its services while “maintaining the intimate customer service that has been the cornerstone of both companies.”
ASI is led by Managing Director Jason Smith, Managing Partner Jeremy Davis and Chairman Jeff Standridge. The three have had a work relationship with Clark Property Insurance founder Harold Clark for several years, the companies said in a news release.
“Knowing Jason, Jeremy, and Jeff has been an eye-opener to the wonders of our aligned business and leadership philosophies,” Clark said. “ASI, with its leadership and principles, is undoubtedly the right home for Clark Property Insurance customers. It’s also a fantastic home for our employees — a talented group that I consider family.”
ASI was founded in 2000 under another name. It has since been rebranded and grown from serving mostly local clients to an agency with 19 licensed agents serving both personal and commercial lines clients in over 30 states.
The company expanded in 2020 with the acquisition of TLC Insurance Group of Mountain Home.
ASI now has three office locations in Conway, Mountain Home and Jonesboro.
