Acxiom Corp. of Little Rock today announced it has appointed Tim Cadogan, CEO of OpenX Technologies Inc. of Los Angeles, to its board of directors.
The company also announced it has nominated John Battelle, founder and executive chairman of Federated Media Publishing, as a candidate for election to Acxiom’s board.
The election will occur during Acxiom’s annual meeting for stockholders on Aug. 16.
One of Acxiom’s directors, R. Halsey Wise, resigned from the board Dec. 9 after being elected for a three-year term in August.
Cadogan has been CEO of OpenX, a digital advertising firm, since 2008, when he was recruited from an executive position at Yahoo! Inc.
Battelle is co-founder of Wired Magazine and Wired Ventures. He also co-founded and co-hosts the Web 2.0 Summit, an annual Internet forum in San Francisco, and is a director of the Interactive Advertising Bureau Inc.
"Out of great minds come great ideas and insights," said Acxiom CEO Scott Howe. "Acxiom and I are thrilled to be welcoming Tim and John to our board. As the marketing world evolves, Tim and John will help Acxiom be a catalyst for innovation, insight and performance."
