1 min read

Former Coulson Oil Co. CFO Lance West has joined Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corp. as the electric generation and transmission cooperative’s controller.

AECC, which provides wholesale power to the state’s 17 local electric cooperatives, announced West’s hiring in a news release Wednesday.

West spent 29 years with Coulson of North Little Rock before leaving the gasoline and diesel distribution company as senior vice president and chief financial officer in 2022. More recently he served in two interim senior accounting roles in central Arkansas.

West earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia and an MBA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He’s a certified public accountant and a member of the board of the Greater Arkansas Chapter of the American Red Cross.

The 17 distribution cooperatives served by AECC deliver electricity to about 600,000 homes, farms and businesses in Arkansas and nearby states.
