Ag-Pro Deal Raises Number of Greenway Dealerships to 28

1 min read

Remember the sale of a string of seven Arkansas John Deere dealerships we told you about back in September? We have more info.

The purchase bumps the dealership total to 28 for Greenway Equipment Inc., which also owns five John Deere projects in southeast Missouri.

Real estate associated with the deal was acquired through Greenway Enterprises Inc. That’s another entity controlled by agri-millionaire John Conner of Newport.

We were able to track down some real estate details associated with three of the dealerships:

  • $5.46 million for the 34.4-acre development at 1554 & 1616 U.S. Hwy. 79 in Stuttgart;
  • $1.62 million for the 7.8-acre development at 2100 U.S. 165 in England; and
  • $1 million for the 7.06-acre development at 2232 U.S. Hwy. 165 in DeWitt.

Other Ag-Pro dealerships included in the sale were leased operations at Bryant and Conway and projects in Pine Bluff and Grady (Lincoln County).

The operations were sold to Greenway by Ag-Pro Cos. of Dixie, Georgia. The Ag-Pro name refers to Agriculture Productivity.

Inventory and other assets pushed the overall value of the Arkansas Ag-Pro acquisition toward $112 million.
