1 min read

The Arkansas State Highway & Transportation Department has announced three promotions at its Little Rock office.

Tony Sullivan has been promoted to assistant chief engineer for operations, Kevin Thornton to assistant chief engineer for planning, and Joe Sartini to state maintenance engineer. All three moves were effective Monday.

“We are proud to announce these promotions and are confident that they will represent AHTD in the best manner possible,” Scott Bennett, director, said in a news release.

Sullivan replaces Emanuel Banks, who was recently promoted to deputy director and chief engineer. Sullivan began at AHTD in 1979. He served in his former position, as state maintenance engineer, since 2008.

Sartini, who replaces Sullivan, joined AHTD in 1986. He began his previous position, district engineer, in 2008.

Thornton replaces Lorie Tudor, who was recently promoted to deputy director and chief operating officer. Thornton came to AHTD in 1986. His most previous position was division head of programs and contracts, which he was promoted to in 2011.
