Eva Fast has been named associate dean of the Soderquist College of Business at John Brown University in Siloam Springs. Brad Gatlin has been promoted to dean of the Soderquist College. Gatlin will continue to teach classes as well as supervise all academic programs in the college for the 500 enrolled students.


David Gilliam has been promoted to professor in the Department of Management, Marketing & Technology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Richard Lewis has been promoted to associate professor with tenure in the School of Criminal Justice & Criminology. Tracey Barnett McElwee has been promoted to associate professor with tenure in the School of Social Work. Jeremy Paprocki has been promoted to advanced instructor in the School of Counseling, Human Performance & Rehabilitation. Elizabeth Small has been promoted to advanced instructor in the Department of Accounting, Economics & Finance.

Susie Nicholson ( The Sells Agency)

Susie Nicholson, director of strategic services at the Sells Agency of Little Rock, has been inducted into the Council for Advancement & Support of Education Hall of Fame. Before taking on the lead role at the Sells Agency’s Fayetteville office, Nicholson worked for more than two decades at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. She was recognized for her service to the advancement profession and higher education.

Thomas Howe ( Cromwell Architects Engineers)

Thomas Howe has joined Cromwell Architects Engineers of Little Rock. Howe is joining the company’s structural engineering department as an engineer intern in the Little Rock office. He will work on a full range of project types and sizes, including new construction and renovations of older structures.


CTEH of North Little Rock has hired one employee and promoted four. Jamie Beck has been promoted to director of response management. Beck has direct experience with crude oil spills, releases in chemical manufacturing facilities, chemical plant fires and barge collisions. In his new role, Beck will work with CTEH clients on readiness and preparedness. Helen Dubach has been promoted to director of environmental response. Dubach has more than 20 years of experience providing scientific support for oil and chemical spills. Sean McCarron has been promoted to director of occupational health and corporate safety. McCarron has more than 20 years of experience, specializing in environmental due diligence, health, safety and environment management systems. Michael McCoy has joined CTEH as a senior toxicologist. McCoy is a certified industrial hygienist and a diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology. He has more than 15 years of experience. J.T. Wilson has been promoted to director of the Toxicology Emergency Response Program at CTEH. Wilson has been with CTEH for 15 years and in his new role will lead the Toxicology Emergency Response Program department and coordinate resources from individual responders up to multistate responses.
