Alderman Joins Mountain Home Radiology (Movers & Shakers)

Dr. Daniel Alderman has been hired as a radiologist at Mountain Home Radiology Consultants in Mountain Home. Alderman earned his bachelor’s and medical degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City following an accelerated six-year program. He then attended the Medical University of South Carolina, where he completed a diagnostic and interventional radiology residency.

Courtney Cavender, an advanced practice registered nurse, has been hired at Baxter Regional Health System Hometown Clinic in Mountain View. Cavender earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and a Master of Science in nursing from Chamberlain University in Addison, Illinois.

Joyce Stratmoen has been hired as a nurse practitioner at Baxter Regional Nephrology Clinic in Mountain Home. Stratmoen earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Arkansas State University before attending Walden University in Minneapolis.

Marcy Doderer has been named the board chair of the International Children’s Hospitals’ Patient Safety Collaborative. Doderer has served as the president and CEO of Arkansas Children’s Hospital since 2013. She received a Bachelor of Science in finance from Trinity University and a Master of Arts in hospital and health management from the University of Iowa.

Christopher Johnson, an advanced practice registered nurse, has been hired at Washington Regional’s hospitalists group in Fayetteville. Johnson earned a Master of Science in nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from State University of New York at Delhi.

Barbara Porchia has been hired as a podiatrist at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Porchia received a bachelor’s in education from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock and a doctor of podiatric medicine degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. After her residency in primary podiatric medicine at St. Michael Hospital in Cleveland, she was in private practice in New Orleans, during which she paused to complete a two-year podiatric surgical residency at the Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago.

Dr. Ozlem Tulunay-Ugur has been invested in the Patricia & J. Floyd Kyzer, M.D. Chair in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at UAMS in Little Rock. Tulunay-Ugur graduated from Hacettepe University Medical School and completed her residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Ankara University Medical School, both in Ankara, Turkey.

Kaylen Welter has been hired as a physician assistant at Conway Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center in Conway. Welter holds a bachelor’s degree in allied health from Hendrix College and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
