Allegiant Air announced it would add two direct flights to Florida destinations from Northwest Arkansas National Airport.
Flights to St. Petersburg will begin July 2 and flights to Fort Lauderdale will begin in October. The company said fares will be as low as $38 and the flight schedule will operate twice a week.
“We’re hearing nothing but excitement from travelers looking forward to some long-overdue vacations — and we’re thrilled to offer convenient, nonstop routes to two incredible Florida destinations,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s senior vice president of revenue.
Allegiant was XNA’s No. 2 carrier before the COVID-19 pandemic severely curtailed operations at XNA in 2020.
“We really appreciate Allegiant Airlines’ continued support of the northwest Arkansas market and are excited about these new low-cost options for our passengers,” said Andrew Branch, XNA’s chief business development officer.
