
PAM Transport of Tontitown promoted Matt Herndon to COO on Aug. 12, the company said in a filing Tuesday with the Securities & Exchange Commission.
Herndon, 43, has been PAM’s vice president of operations since 2009. He started at Choctaw Express in 1991 and joined PAM when the company acquired Choctaw in 1995.
PAM’s board of directors also announced it was giving CEO Daniel Cushman a raise to $500,000. Cushman earned total compensation of $1.38 million in 2014, which included an annual salary of $461,173.
The board also approved cash performance bonuses for Cushman and CFO Allen West.
PAM reported income of $13.5 million in 2014, an increase of 129 percent from 2013. It has already nearly matched that in the first two quarters of 2015, after reporting first-quarter income of $5.4 million and second-quarter income of $7 million.
