American Cancer Society Appoints Bobby Harris to Board

The American Cancer Society announced Monday the election of Bobby Harris of Little Rock to the board of the American Cancer Society Mid-South Division.

In addition, key officer leadership positions were announced, which included Ed Coulter of Mountain Home as immediate past board chair.

“The board of directors is comprised of talent, strength and the commitment to continue to provide strong leadership to help impact of our collective efforts to eliminate cancer as a major health problem,” said Diana Diaz, 2016 chair of the board.

Harris is a financial planner with more than 20 years in the financial services industry. He has served as president of the Arkansas Financial Planning Association and the Little Rock Regional Chamber Ambassadors. He has held a number of leadership positions including his current service on the American Cancer Society’s Central Arkansas Leadership Council and as the state lead ambassador in Arkansas for the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network.

The American Cancer Society Mid-South Division board consists of 28 members, which includes four officers and 24 directors. Directors are elected for a three-year term, and officers hold their position for a one-year term.
