‘American Greed’, Arkansas DFA Show Interest in John RogersLock Icon

Back in February, we told you about the fraud saga of John Rogers drawing the interest of CNBC’s “American Greed.”

The production wheels are turning for an episode on the North Little Rock sports memorabilia and photo dealing scamster.

Members of the “American Greed” team recently visited town to film locations and conduct interviews as part of that project.

Speaking of Rogers, the 45-year-old felon is serving time at the low-security federal pen in Forrest City these days.

His scheduled release date? April 28, 2028.

You might recall that when Rogers was sentenced on Dec. 20 he was ordered to pay restitution of $23,552,370, a figure based on actual out-of-pocket losses by 26 known victims.

The state of Arkansas recently added another line item to his account: A $1.8 million claim for outstanding income taxes owed for 2012 and 2013.

Last year, the Arkansas Department of Finance & Administration filed a $323,767 claim against Rogers for the tax years 2009-11.

The state income tax tally joins about $5 million in claims by the Internal Revenue Service for outstanding federal income taxes.
