Leon Walthall has stepped down as chief operating officer at America’s Car-Mart Inc. of Rogers to assume another role with the company.
The company said in a Securities & Exchange Commission filing that Walthall shifted to a role as senior vice president of field operations on Jan. 10. In that role, Walthall will “use his extensive field experience to focus on delivering improved customer experience, sales growth, and consistent operational execution across the Company’s dealerships,” the filing says.
Walthall will continue to report to Douglas Campbell Jr., president of America’s Car-Mart. Campbell will now leads the company’s collections management efforts.
The company did not announce a new COO
Walthall has worked for America’s Car-Mart since 1989. He was named COO in 2019.
Walthall was the first person to hold the position since Eddie Hight, who was COO from 2002 to 2013.
