America’s Car-Mart Inc. of Bentonville named Leon Walthall as the company’s new COO.
Car-Mart said Walthall, 53, was appointed to the position beginning Aug. 28. Car-Mart did not release Walthall’s compensation.
The company has not had a COO since Eddie Hight served from 2002 to 2013.
Walthall has been with Car-Mart since 1989. After 20 years as a store manager, Walthall was named vice president of operations in 2009.
Walthall has been field operations officers since 2016.
Walthall graduated from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville with a degree in mathematics.
