America’s Car-Mart Inc. of Rogers announced Wednesday that executive Leon L. Walthall had left the company, effective Oct. 20.
Walthall had been serving as senior vice president of field operations. America’s Car-Mart said in a filing with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission that the company and Walthall had “agreed” he would not continue to serve and would be “terminated.”
No reason was given for Walthall’s departure. The company did not reveal any severance or other details.
Walthall joined the company in 1989 and was named COO in 2019. He stepped down from that position in January to transfer to field operations.
Walthall earned $505,760 in total compensation in fiscal 2023, according to a proxy filed by America’s Car-Mart with the SEC in July.
