The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts has announced three new members to the museum’s board of trustees.

Amy O’Connor of Little Rock has been business development director for McFarland Eye Care of BLANK since 2012. Her responsibilities include community outreach, partnership development, event planning, recruiting, and referral building. She is a volunteer with Access Schools, National Charity League and Episcopal Collegiate School. O’Connor received a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from the University of Arkansas.

Elizabeth (Betsy) Rhodes of Little Rock began her career as a publicist in the New York office of Yves Saint Laurent, and has since freelanced for Van Wyck & Van Wyck, worked public relations for L’Oreal and was a publicist for Mary Kay Inc. She received a bachelor’s degree in art history from Washington & Lee University.

Mary B. Ritchey of Little Rock has over 20 years of experience in the visual arts collaborating with leaders in hospitality, corporate and residential design, and development. Prior to curating in Washington, D.C., Ritchey was an art consultant for Kay-Hanah Associates of San Francisco and a freelance art advisor for Charles Schwab Inc. Nationwide. She previously served on the board for the Washington Project for the Arts. Ritchey received a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and communications from Northwestern University and continued her education at the Corcoran College of Art and Design.

The AMFA Board of Trustees supports the institution through initiatives that engage the community, raise funds, and benefit AMFA’s mission.

“The distinct strengths and perspectives of every board member are great assets as AMFA continues to create exceptional visual and performing art experiences for the region,” Stan Hastings, president of the board of trustees, said.
