Anthony Fletcher of CHI St. Vincent Named President of the Association of Black Cardiologists (Movers & Shakers)

Dr. Anthony Fletcher, an interventional cardiologist at CHI St. Vincent of Little Rock, has been named president of the Association of Black Cardiologists. 


Adam Kessler (Baptist Health)

Dr. Adam Kessler has joined Baptist Health Orthopedic Clinic-Little Rock. Kessler received his medical education from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency training in orthopedic surgery at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, Michigan, and a fellowship in orthopedic trauma surgery at the University of Louisville Hospital in Kentucky.


Rustin Morse (Arkansas Children’s Northwest)

Dr. Rustin Morse has been named senior vice president and chief administrator of Arkansas Children’s Northwest of Springdale. He most recently served as chief medical officer of Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. 


Joe Lloyd III (The Jones Center)

Joe Lloyd III, a longtime executive at Tyson Foods, has been named president and chief executive officer of the Jones Center of Springdale. At Tyson, Lloyd held positions including vice president of technology and chief ethics and compliance officer.


Corey Carey (John Brown University)

Corey Carey has been named dean of residence life at John Brown University of Siloam Springs. He previously served as residence life coordinator and dorm parent at Rift Valley Academy in Kijabe, Kenya.


Dr. Mauricio S. Garcia has been invested in the Jerome S. Levy, M.D., Chair in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in Little Rock. Garcia is an associate professor and chief of the UAMS Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology in the College of Medicine’s Department of Internal Medicine. 


Bernadette Hinkle (Hendrix College)

Bernadette Hinkle has been named executive vice president for finance and chief financial officer at Hendrix College of Conway. She previously served as a financial consultant to higher education institutions. Hinkle has more than 25 years of experience in administration, accounting, budgeting and business services. 


Paul Maynard has been hired as chief growth and strategy officer at Harding University of Searcy. Maynard, who previously was a partner at Deloitte in Minneapolis, has more than 35 years of experience in leadership and strategic planning. Additionally, Robin Maynard has been appointed chief legal and compliance officer. She previously was an attorney at Lathrop GPM in Minneapolis.


Peter Ungar, a distinguished professor of anthropology and director of environmental dynamics at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, has been chosen as a member of the National Academy of Sciences. He is the first faculty member to be elected to the academy.
