ArcBest Names 2 to Board of Directors

ArcBest Corp. of Fort Smith (Nasdaq: ARCB) appointed Ann Bordelon and Bobby George to its board of directors Wednesday.

Bordelon and George took their positions immediately and will eventually be replacements for Fredrik Eliasson and Kathy McElligott, who announced they will retire from the board at the end of February. Craig Philip, another board member, had earlier announced his retirement, which became official Wednesday.

Bordelon is the executive vice chancellor of finance and administration at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She had previously served as chief financial officer at NOWDiagnostics in Springdale and held executive positions at Walmart Inc. and Sam’s Club.

George is chief digital officer at for the HVAC company Carrier in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and has served in executive positions at General Electric and several other companies.
