2 min read

ArcBest Corp. of Fort Smith on Thursday said Matt Beasley would become the company’s CFO, effective May 14.

Beasley is currently the company’s treasurer after joining the company in January 2022. He will replace David Cobb, who announced he was retiring after 17 years with ArcBest, including 8 years as CFO.

ArcBest said Beasley’s salary would be $450,000, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission. Cobb earned more than $2.6 million in total compensation in 2022, including a base salary of $489,250.

“Matt is a well-rounded and experienced leader who has positively impacted our organization, and I look forward to working closely with him as the next CFO,” ArcBest CFO Judy McReynolds said. “Since joining ArcBest last year, Matt has become an invaluable contributor, and we will continue to leverage his experience and expertise as we advance our growth strategy.

“On behalf of the ArcBest board and the entire team, we also thank David for his significant contributions over the last 17 years, and we wish him the very best in his retirement.”

Beasley, 44, spent 15 years in executive positions at Enable Midstream Partners in Oklahoma City before joining ArcBest. At ArcBest, he helped with the $100 sale of ArcBest’s maintenance subsidiary FleetNet America to Cox Automotive Mobility Solutions Inc.

“I am excited for the opportunity to serve ArcBest as its next CFO,” Beasley said. “It’s an honor to be part of such a talented and dedicated team, and I look forward to working together as we build on our 100-year track record of success.”
