Arkansans to Ask, Experts to Answer

1 min read

With questions flying about the coronavirus pandemic, its local effects and the latest in what Arkansans can do, Arkansas PBS plans to supply answers from health experts at 7 p.m. Thursday in a special live broadcast, “Arkansans Ask: COVID-19.”

Veteran journalist Steve Barnes will interview Dr. Jennifer Dillaha, the state’s director of immunizations and outbreak response; Dr. Steppe Mette, CEO of UAMS Health; and Dr. Joe Thompson, president and CEO of the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement.

The panel will take viewer questions live during during the hourlong broadcast from the public TV network’s studios in Conway via a toll-free line, (800) 662-2386, by email to paffairs@myarkansaspbs.org or through the Twitter hashtag #ARAsk.

Arkansas PBS is broadcast on KETS (Little Rock), KEMV (Mountain View), KETG (Arkadelphia), KAFT (Fayetteville), KTEJ (Jonesboro) and KETZ (El Dorado), and the program will be available on the myarkansaspbs.org website.

The network plans to eventually broadcast and stream the state’s high school basketball finals; the tournaments have been postponed in the effort to halt public gatherings.
