Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield Promotes Two (Movers & Shakers)

Insurance

Dan Stevens has been named director of provider network operations with Arkansas Blue Cross & Blue Shield in Little Rock. Stevens joined the company in 1987 as a claims supervisor. Most recently he was operations engineer and manager of provider network operations.

Spencer Mathews has joined JTS Financial in Little Rock as assistant account manager. Mathews has four years of group insurance experience and previously was manager of NTA Life in Louisiana.

Joy Evans has been named director of internal operations training with Arkansas Blue Cross & Blue Shield in Little Rock. She began her career with Arkansas Blue Cross 32 years ago, most recently serving as an internal business consultant and manager of education and development.

Health Care

Dr. Solangel Pollack has moved her practice to Sparks Internal Medicine in Fort Smith. She joined Sparks in March 2014 after serving at an urgent care facility in Miami.

Dawn Brown has joined Epoch Men’s Health in Little Rock as director of operations for the Arkansas region. Brown has more than 20 years of experience in the health care industry.

Amberlie Jones has joined Arkansas Urology as the patient access manager. She will manage preregistration, registration and scheduling for all patients.

Sam Wilson, who has 15 years of clinical experience, has joined the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. Wilson will be director of rehabilitation services and previously served as clinical director of Jones Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine.

Financial Services

Renee Long has returned to Citizens Bank in Batesville as senior vice president of consumer lending. Long began her banking career at Citizens Bank more than 36 years ago and has been a consumer lending officer for more than 20 years.

Engineering

Brad Wingfield has been named partner at Pollution Management Inc., located in Little Rock and Springdale. Wingfield has been an engineer with the company for four years and specializes in water resource and treatment projects for municipal, oil and gas, and industrial clients in Arkansas and surrounding states.

Nonprofits

Lea Whitlock has been named executive communications coordinator at Arkansas Community Foundation in Little Rock. She previously worked with the foundation as both a program and scholarship associate. Prior to returning to Arkansas Community Foundation, Whitlock provided administrative services at Social Innovation.

Liz Philpott, volunteer services coordinator with Keep Arkansas Beautiful, has been named a Keep Arkansas Beautiful Young Professional. The award recognizes someone under 40 who has demonstrated remarkable leadership and outreach in the community in the areas of litter prevention, recycling and beautification.

Kristen Kaiser Allen has been named field manager of Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance’s No Kid Hungry Breakfast Program and will provide support to public schools throughout the state. She previously served as a child nutrition program adviser with the Arkansas Department of Education.
