Arkansas Cannabis Lineup Set: Last 3 Dispensaries Pay Fees

4 min read

The starting lineup for Arkansas’ medical marijuana cultivation and dispensing industry is now set, pending complaint investigations, according to the state Alcoholic Beverage Control Division, which oversees enforcement of the new system.

A list of the 32 dispensary companies and their ownerships, as well as the licensed cultivation companies, appears below.

“Late [Monday] afternoon, the last of the 32 dispensaries paid the $15,000 licensing fee and posted the $100,000 performance bond,” spokesman Scott Hardin said in an email to Arkansas Business. “With this complete, our focus now moves to the Feb. 13 meeting [of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission] at which the commission will review draft rules surrounding the transport of medical marijuana.

“Additionally, ABC’s Enforcement Division continues to investigate protest letters.”

ABC Director Doralee Chandler will release decisions as investigations are completed, Hardin said.

Arkansas’ medical cannabis industry, which voters approved by constitutional amendment in November 2016, is finally becoming a market, with a cultivation site in Cotton Plant (Woodruff County) growing some 1,600 plants already. (See story, Page 8.) Product is expected to be available at some dispensary sites in April, state officials say.
