Arkansas Community Foundation Adds Lauren Morris (Movers & Shakers)

Lauren Morris has joined the Arkansas Community Foundation in Little Rock as affiliate program director.

Previously, Morris was project coordinator for an initiative of the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service.


Heather Southard, program coordinator for the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute at Morrilton, was recently selected to participate in the 30th class of Leadership Russellville, a leadership training program of the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce.

A native and resident of Atkins, Southard joined the WRI in May 2016 as programs and marketing assistant and was promoted to program coordinator earlier this year.


Clarence E. Trice has been promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer by the United Methodist Foundation of Arkansas.

Trice is responsible for accounting, administrative, investment, probate and trust activities. He had more than 30 years of experience in public accounting before joining the foundation in 2009.


Laura Waliski has joined the Venture Center in Little Rock as marketing manager, and Crystal Arcicovich was hired as the administrative lead.

A graduate of Harding University at Searcy, Waliski was previously a digital marketing strategist with Aristotle Inc.

Arcicovich is a graduate of Walsh College in Troy, Michigan, and has experience in sales, customer service and event management.


Martie North, senior vice president at Simmons Bank, Stacy Hamilton, executive broker with Pulaski Heights Realty, and Scott Mosley, a senior brand manager at CJRW, have been elected to the board of directors of the Quapaw Quarter Association in Little Rock.


Brandon Brown and James Chavez are new partners at Encompass Financial Partners in Little Rock.

Brown was previously director of development at Northwestern Mutual, where Chavez was a financial adviser.


Herbert Thomas III has been hired as vice president of First National Bankers Bank, a correspondent bank with an office in Little Rock. He will be responsible for business development in the state of Arkansas.

Thomas has 38 years of experience in the financial industry.
