Arkansas Contributors Help Noelle Nikpour in Florida Congressional Race

1 min read

Noelle Nikpour, the Republican strategist and Fox News pundit who used to call Little Rock home, remains in the race for Congress from Florida’s 18th District. The district includes Martin, St. Lucie and Palm Beach counties.

Although Florida’s presidential preference primary is Tuesday, its primary election for other races is not until Aug. 30.

According to BallotPedia, Nikpour is one of nine declared Republican candidates in the race to replace incumbent Patrick Murphy, who is seeking the Senate seat being vacated by Marco Rubio; the race has drawn only three Democrats.

Nikpour received $205,693 in contributions between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2015, according to the Federal Election Commission, and spent $63,228 during the same period.

Her Arkansas contributors include familiar names: attorney Bud Cummins, Dr. Eren Erdem, attorney William Hutchinson III, Stephen LaFrance Jr., Alex Lieblong and John Tyson.

And Nikpour has drawn support from some pretty high-powered non-Arkansans, such as Ron Meyer, vice chairman of NBC Universal, who gave $5,400 between July 1 and Dec. 31.

Nikpour still owns a house in Little Rock, on tony Edgehill Road, according to the Pulaski County assessor.

A campaign ad on Nikpour’s website, Nikpour4Congress.com, says she has “fought for the conservative cause my entire life [and] stood up to the liberal elite and the Washington machine.”
