Arkansas Farm Bureau Hires Tyler Oxner to Commodity Team

1 min read

Arkansas Farm Bureau announced that it has hired Tyler Oxner as director of commodity activities and economics.

Oxner, a Marvell native, comes to the organization after working with Scott Agri Crop Marketers, where he helped farmers manage marketing risks, evaluate commodity futures markets and coordinate client relationships across four states.

He also spent four years with Rabo AgriFinance, assisting farmers with their business structure, financial analysis, projected revenues/expenses and loan facilitation.

In his new role, Oxner will provide economic and regulatory guidance and be the staff coordinator for the Farm Bureau’s aquaculture, forestry, and wheat and feed grains commodity divisions.

“We are very excited to bring Tyler’s skillset to our team,” Evan Teague, the organization’s vice president of commodity and regulatory affairs, said in a news release. “His experiences, first on his family’s farming operation, as well as his work in agricultural marketing and finance over the past five years, will no doubt provide our members with insights that will help them make informed decisions.”

Oxner holds a master’s degree in agricultural economics and an undergraduate degree in agricultural business from the University of Arkansas.
