
Bryan Pistole has been promoted to director of public relations at the Arkansas Farm Bureau. Pistole has more than 30 years of experience in graphic design, video production, web services and event management, most recently serving as creative director for the federation. Pistole is now responsible for the organization’s internal and external messaging in addition to continuing his work of implementing a brand standard across the organization.
Nathan Reed has been elected president of the Ag Council of Arkansas by the board of directors. Reed, who will serve a two-year term, is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas School of Law. He farms 8,500 acres of cotton, corn, soybeans and rice.
The board of directors also elected two new vice presidents: Jeff Rutledge and Joe Mencer. Rick Bransford was re-elected treasurer. The board under the leadership of Reed named the following to serve on the executive committee: John C. King III, Helena; Matt Hyneman, Jonesboro; West Higginbothom, Marianna; Dow Brantley, England; David Wallace Jr., Crawfordsville; Pace Hindsley, Marvell; and Jason Felton, Marianna.
The board of directors also welcomed new board members Frederick Black Jr., Pickens; Bradley Day, Dumas; Ryan Johnson, Wilmot; and Brad Doyle, Weiner.
