Arkansas Foodbank Adds 5 to Board of Directors

Arkansas Foodbank announced it has added five members to its board of directors.

They are:

  • Jon Ball, Little Rock market manager, Walmart
  • Sharmane Andrews, senior vice president, chief Compliance Officer, Simmons Bank
  • Hallie Shoffner, CEO, Foodwise and SFR Seed
  • Dr. Gerry Jones, president, CHI St. Vincent 
  • Zack Borchert, director of rice Sales, Riceland Foods

“As we welcome our new board members, I’m truly inspired by the fresh energy and diverse perspectives they bring to our mission,” ShaRhonda Love, chair of the board, said in a statement. “As we mark 40 years of service, it’s clear that their contributions will be instrumental in guiding us forward, ensuring we continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.”

Board member duties include conducting annual reviews and overseeing the strategic planning process to ensure the organization’s continued success in its mission. This oversight extends to monitoring the organization’s budget and financial health, empowering it to navigate challenges and sustain its crucial support for Arkansas’ most vulnerable communities.
