Arkansas Heart Hospital Expanding to Texarkana

1 min read

Arkansas Heart Hospital on Wednesday announced that it’s opening its first out-of-state clinic.

The opening of the 21,000-SF facility in Texarkana is set for mid-March, the hospital said in a news release. It will include 12 exam rooms and a full-service cardiology clinic. An ambulatory surgery center with hybrid catherization labs and pre- and post-operative rooms is planned to open in 2023.

The new clinic will offer general and interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac imaging, vein and vascular services, and more. A full-time, on-site physician will lead the care team. Six doctors will also be available for regular appointments.

“Our expansion into Texas is yet another step forward in our mission to transform the health care landscape,” hospital CEO Dr. Bruce Murphy said in the release. “With our laser focus on delivering the highest-quality, most innovative patient care, we will continue to be a global leader with unlimited growth potential.”

The hospital’s main campus is in Little Rock. It opened a second hospital, the $55 million Encore Medical Center, in Bryant last year.

The Texarkana facility will be the hospital’s 26th clinic, according to its website.
