Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts to Hire 100 for Reopening

1 min read

The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts in Little Rock announced that it’s looking to hire more than 100 workers ahead of its reopening on April 22.

The museum, which is near the completion of a years-long, $155 million redesign and renovation, said it’s hiring for both part-time and full-time roles in administrative, custodial, food services, guest experience, sales, security and more.

The museum is also hiring artists to teach classes in a variety of media. Executive Director Victoria Ramirez has said the redesigned museum provides space for new events and programming ranging from the visual arts and theater to film and dance.

The 133,00-SF project includes a new restaurant overlooking MacArthur Park with indoor and outdoor dining areas, and a private dining room.

Job fairs will be held at the museum on Feb. 15-16 and Feb. 22-23, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information is available on the museum’s website

Renovations to the museum began in 2016. The museum closed in 2019 when major construction commenced.

The long list of museum upgrades ranges from a grand corridor that extends to light-filled vestibules to cleaned and restored works in the museum’s permanent collection to easier-to-read labels around the building.
