
Arkansas ranks 16th in terms of overall charitable giving, according to a November 2020 report by WalletHub, a consumer finance information company.
In the top five were Utah at No. 1, followed by Minnesota, Maryland, Oregon and Ohio.
The bottom five, according to WalletHub, were Arizona at No. 50, New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi and Rhode Island at No. 46.
Arkansas was tied with Utah, Georgia and Wyoming in percentage of income donated to charity.
To determine its rankings, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 19 indicators of charitable behavior, ranging from the volunteer rate to the share of income donated to the share of sheltered homeless.
