Arkansas Tech Announces New Leadership (Movers & Shakers)

Arkansas Tech University of Russellville has announced new leadership. Tim Carter has been hired as the dean of the College of Education & Health. He has been interim dean since July. Tracy Cole has been hired as the dean of the College of Business & Economic Development. She has served as interim dean since August. Sarah Gordon has been hired as dean of the Graduate College. She has been interim dean since February 2022. John Jackson has been hired as dean of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics. He has been interim dean since July.


 

Muhammad Ali Zulqarnain

Dr. Muhammad Ali Zulqarnain has been hired as an assistant professor in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences of Little Rock. He also serves as the associate director of the UAMS interventional cardiology fellowship program.


 

Jennifer Maune

Jennifer Maune has been appointed to the board of visitors of the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College of North Little Rock. Maune, a chef and lifestyle blogger, recently finished as a finalist on “MasterChef” with Gordon Ramsay.


Arkansas Urology of Little Rock has announced new providers. Maya Clark, an advanced practice registered nurse, has been hired at Arkansas Urology Little Rock. She previously served as an acute care nurse practitioner at Baptist Health Medical Center and the Baptist Health Medical Center cardiology department. Tina Mathenia, an advanced practice registered nurse, has been hired at Arkansas Urology Kidney Stone Clinic. She has more than 20 years of APRN experience. Michael Stirling, APRN, has been hired at Men’s Health Clinic and Arkansas Urology Little Rock. He has more than 10 years of experience as an emergency room nurse, charge nurse and family nurse practitioner.


 

Erin Maxwell

Erin Maxwell has been promoted to vice president at Arkansas Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Little Rock. In her new role, Maxwell will oversee claims operations for Arkansas Blue Cross and most of its affiliate companies. She previously served as lead executive of customer service and Medicare Advantage operations.
