- Four Arkansas baseball teams took to the field of Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock Tuesday for the premiere of the State Farm Classic. In the end, Arkansas State beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 7-3 in the first match-up and UALR covered UCA in 10 innings 4-3 in the late game.
- Arkansas State gets a trip to Auburn and a $1.1 million payday in 2013. It is the largest payout for the Red Wolves in school history. They have topped $1 million three previous times, but will get their largest contract for the Sept. 7, 2013 game.
- Marshawn Powell, who suffered a season-sending knee injury in 2011, should be available for full contact workouts in July. Coach Mike Anderson gave an update on Powell’s status during a Razorback Club meeting in Manila.
