ArkansasSports360.com: Dorrell Resigns from UA; Nutt Talks About Petrino’s Dismissal

1 min read

Today on ArkansasSports360.com:

Jessica Dorrell, the Arkansas football staff member involved in an affair with former coach Bobby Petrino, has resigned as a student athlete development coordinator. Dorrell will get $13,933.75 from the UA to settle "all matters between the parties."

Former Arkansas coach Houston Nutt appeared on the Tim Brando show to discuss the firing of Bobby Petrino as Razoraback football coach. Nutt says Jeff Long has a very difficult decision to make.

Jim Harris proposes that Long decides on a Frank Broyles-type of coach: A young, energetic go-getter who could make a positive impact on the program for years to come.

And the Arkansas Travelers and Northwest Arkansas Naturals open Texas League North Division play tonight at Dickey-Stephens Park. Arkansas will start right-hander Ariel Pena (1-0, 2.31 ERA) and Northwest Arkansas will go with lefty Noel Arguelles (0-2, 9.39).
