ArkansasSports360.com: ESPN To Show Arkansas State at Oregon in Prime Time

Today on ArkansasSports360.com:

• Oregon-Arkansas State will be broadcast on ESPN — the real thing, none of the TV or online offshoots — at 9:30 (central time) on the first Saturday of the 2012 season. Yes, it’s a late kickoff. But with those two offenses it’s got to be worth staying up to watch.

• While the Red Wolves make news for their first Saturday of 2012, Arkansas may already be compiling its 2013 schedule. Southern Miss Athletic Director Jeff Hammond says the Golden Eagles will play Arkansas on Sept. 14, 2013 in Fayetteville. Arkansas officials did not respond to an inquiry about the schedule.

• Arkansas baseball coach Dave Van Horn says one of his regrets about the 2009 team that made it to the CWS is that it didn’t have enough pitching to make a run at the title. He does not feel the same way about this year’s team.
