Today on ArkansasSports360.com:
- In maybe the most tumultuous time in Hog football history — with Bobby Petrino suddenly no longer guiding the Arkansas program and who-knows-who taking over — a crowd of 45,250 fans watched the first-team Razorbacks put on a dominating offensive and defensive performance, annihilating the backups 65-0.
- With Tyler Wilson running the offense Saturday, the Red team moved down the field like the White defense wasn’t even there. He completed 76 percent of his passes and the Red squad scored on seven of nine possessions. Through four scrimmages he completed 101 of 146 passes for 1,600 yards and 15 touchdowns with no interceptions.
- Athletic Director Jeff Long said Saturday during the Red-White game that a decision on the replacement for Bobby Petrino would likely come in days. For the assistant coaches still on the staff, nowing who they’ll be working for would be ideal. All eight staff members are still around and they’d like to know what direction Long is headed. As of early Sunday night, the coaches and their families were still awaiting word from Long on his plans.
- And in Jonesboro, they’re calling it the “A-State Ambush on the Natural State”. (You could also call it the the "Malzahn Mystery Tour" too, if you’re a Beatle fan.) Nevertheless, Arkansas State coaches will take on the daunting task of visiting all 215 football playing high schools in the state of Arkansas this week. Head coach Gus Malzahn says that building relationships and visibilty are the key goals of the journeys this week.
