• ArkansasSports360.com Editor Chris Bahn spoke on-camera with new Arkansas coach John L. Smith about battling perceptions about the Razorbacks in the national media, the adversity his team has faced since Bobby Petrino’s firing and why he thinks it’s all going to add up to be a special year ag Arkansas.

• Some of that adversity hasn’t been all Petrino-related. Smith also talks about the players of his currently in trouble with the law and what his plans for them may entail.

• Two schedule changes being talked about: Arkansas’ game against LSU has officially been moved to the Friday after Thanksgiving (from Saturday). The location has already been set for Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville. And Arkansas State’s season-opener against Oregon may be moved to Thursday, Aug. 30.

• And Arkansas State could see a new conference opponent in 2013. The Sun Belt Conference announced today that Texas State will join the league on July 1, 2013 and will begin conference competition for the 2013-14 academic year.
