- The 106th Southern Amateur Championship, to be hosted by Chenal Country Club, draws ever closer with one in a series of 20 qualifying rounds held Thursday at the local country club’s Bear Den Course. Teeing it up for a mid-morning shotgun start were 65 participants vying for 11 spots in the international tournament, to be held for the first time in Little Rock July 18-21.
