Armor Bank Names Greg Gibson as Director of Agriculture

1 min read

Armor Bank of Forrest City announced that Greg Gibson, president of the lender’s Forrest City branch, has taken an expanded role as the bank’s director of agriculture.

Gibson has a longstanding connection to the Arkansas agriculture industry, dating back to his younger days working for his family’s agriculture aviation business, the bank said in a news release. That experience, along with more than 11 years in commercial and agricultural lending, has “uniquely prepared him” for the new position.

“It is my hope that this new, dedicated role will enable me to provide industry guidance across all of Armor Bank’s markets while growing the bank’s ag portfolio,” Gibson said in the release. “It is an especially challenging time for farmers and agribusiness owners. It is important they know there is an investment being made that is in their best interests.”

Gibson of Marianna is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, where he earned a bachelor’s in business administration with a focus in accounting and finance.

He serves as board chair for the Arkansas Community Foundation of Lee County, vice president of the board of the Forrest City Industrial Development Corporation, and president of the Men’s Golf Association at the Marianna Country Club.

Armor Bank finished 2024 with $466.6 million in assets. It ranked No. 38 on Arkansas Business‘ latest list of the state’s largest banks.
