Arturo Towns has been appointed chief people officer of Central States Inc. of Tontitown, a manufacturer of metal building components, roofing and building systems.

Towns previously was the chief human resources officer at Foster Farms. Before that, Towns served as the senior vice president of human resources at Smithfield Foods. Towns also has experience as vice president of human resources at Simmons Foods and senior director of human resources at Tyson Foods.

Towns received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. He also has attended the St. Ambrose University training program, the direction and management development program at ICAMI and the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
