Arvest Bank of Fayetteville announced that Kelly Carlson has been promoted to loan manager for the bank’s Benton County region.

Carlson will replace Mark Ryan, who is retiring after 31 years with the bank effective April 1. Ryan is expected to remain in a part-time role supporting the bank’s commercial and credit projects.

Carlson is currently the commercial loan manager for Arvest in Benton County. He has 15 years of experience in the banking industry.

In his new role, he’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the bank’s lending functions for the Benton County market.

“Throughout his career, Kelly has demonstrated his ability to lead with passion and build strong relationships with both his customers and fellow associates,” Brad Crain, president of Arvest Bank in Benton County, said in a news release “With his expertise and leadership, we are confident that Kelly will provide meaningful financial solutions ensuring that we continue to serve as a community-focused bank.”

Carlson received his bachelor’s and master’s in business administration from Harding University and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s National and Graduate Commercial Lending School. He is expected to graduate from the American Bankers Association’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking in June.
