Arvest to Keep Four NBA Branches, Close Three

John Womack, chairman and CEO of Arvest Bank in Little Rock, said the purchase will "help improve our market share and visibility" in four central Arkansas cities.

Arvest Bank branches on McCain Boulevard in North Little Rock and West Markham Street in Little Rock will be closed, with their operations being moved to former branches of National Bank of Arkansas that Arvest acquired in December.

Conversely, Arvest will close NBA branches in downtown North Little Rock, Sherwood and Maumelle in favor of nearby Arvest branches.

John Womack, CEO of Arvest’s central Arkansas market, confirmed that letters announcing the changes were mailed to customers of the Arvest and NBA branches affected.

Womack had previously confirmed that the two NBA branches in Conway, on Oak Street and on Dave Ward Drive, would remain open.

Here are specifics:

• The Arvest branch at 3711 McCain Blvd. will close Feb. 7 and relocate less than a quarter of a mile away, to what had been the NBA headquarters at 4004 McCain, at its intersection with Warden Road.
• The Arvest drive-through branch at 11415 W. Markham will be closed and its operations moved into the full-service NBA branch at 101 S. Bowman in Little Rock. That will also take place the weekend of Feb. 7.
• The NBA branch at 102 Country Club Parkway in Maumelle will be closed Saturday, March 29 and consolidated with the Arvest branch on Crystal Hill Road that opened in October.
• The NBA branch at 9400 Hwy. 107 in Sherwood will be closed Feb. 7 and relocated to the existing Arvest branch at 4001 Kiehl Ave.
• The NBA branch at 2600 N. Main in North Little Rock, at its intersection with Pershing, will be closed and its accounts moved to Arvest’s Park Hill branch at 3502 JFK Blvd. That will happen March 29.
