Associated Builders & Contractors of Arkansas Names Excellence Award Winners

Associated Builders & Contractors of Arkansas recognized the state’s top merit shop construction projects and outstanding individuals during its Excellence in Construction Awards celebration at The Hotel Hot Springs on April 7.

The projects that won were:

  • Edafio Technology Partners Headquarters Office (Commercial Office, Less than $2 million) Contractor: Kinco Constructors LLC; Architect/Engineer: Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects; Owner: Edafio Technology Partners.
  • Hendrix-Mary Ann & David Dawkins Welcome Center (Institutional, $5 million to $10 million) Contractor: Nabholz; Architect/Engineer: Kirchner Architecture; Owner: Hendrix College.
  • H&M (Electrical Commercial, Under $500,000) Contractor: Fureigh Electric LLC; Architect/Engineer: Sargenti Architects; Owner: H&M.
  • ACDI Headquarters (Commercial Office, $2 million to $5 million) Contractor: Harco Constructors; Architect/Engineer: Black, Corley, Owens & Hughes; Owner: BPK Investments LLC.

Hall of Fame winners were:

  • Ben Fureigh with Fureigh Electric LLC (Central Region), who also won the Phillip Joiner Award;
  • Johnny Newby with United Rentals (Western Region); 
  • Andrew Davie with BHC Insurance (Northwest Region); and
  • Mark Barnett with EGP, PLLC (Northeast Region).

Young Professionals of the Year were Phillip Davis with Lighting and Power Solutions Inc. and Matthew Brown with Regions Insurance. 

The Industry Professional of the Year was EGP, PLLC.

The Supplier of the Year was Hunt-Rogers Materials LLC, and the Merit Choice Specialty Contractor Award went to Roberts-McNutt Inc.

The Chairman’s Award went to Kinco Constructors LLC for the UAMS West Family Medical Center.
