1 min read

Athletico Physical Therapy on Tuesday announced that it has entered the Arkansas market through the acquisition of Carson Physical Therapy of Bryant.

The deal gives Athletico, a nationwide chain headquartered in Oak Park, Illinois, four locations in central Arkansas.

Athletico also gained five locations in Oklahoma City through the acquisition of Therapy Specialists of Oklahoma.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Athletico now has more than 600 locations in 16 states with more than 5,000 employees.

Carson Physical Therapy, which has locations in Benton, Bryant and Hensley, was founded in 2003 by Jenny and Adam Carson. The company specializes in the treatment of orthopedic dysfunction and sports injuries through a variety of physical and manual techniques.

Adam Carson said the deal with Athletico will help “maximize our practice’s growth for the future.” He said Athletico’s philosophies, client-centered treatment approach and resources made it a good fit for the business and its patients.

“After that, the rest was easy, and we now look forward to working together,” he said in the release.

Athletico President and CEO Ron Rodgers said the acquired companies “share our passion for delivering outstanding patient experiences.”

“Both have established strong reputations among their patients and healthcare referral sources for their commitment to delivering high-quality care in the communities they serve,” he said. “We look forward to welcoming the Therapy Specialists and Carson teams to Athletico as we further invest and deepen our impact in Oklahoma and Arkansas.”
