1 min read

The Little Rock Regional Chamber announced Wednesday that AT&T Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Randall L. Stephenson will be the keynote speaker at its 154th annual meeting on Dec. 4.

Stephenson has been chairman and CEO of the telecommunications giant since 2007. He will talk about the current state of media and telecommunications and AT&T’s role in business growth in Arkansas.

Stephenson began his career with Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1982. He was the company’s senior executive vice president and CFO from 2001 to 2004, and from 2004 to 2007 he was COO. He was appointed to AT&T’s board of directors in 2005.

Stephenson will be featured in a “fireside chat” format with Scott T. Ford, co-founder and CEO of Westrock Group, a member of the AT&T board of directors and the former CEO of wireless telecommunications company Alltel Corp. of Little Rock.

“We are thrilled that Mr. Stephenson has agreed to be the featured speaker at this year’s annual meeting,” Little Rock Regional Chamber Board of Directors Chairman Kevin Crass said. “The opportunity to hear from a national business leader of his caliber is a rare treat and something I know our members and community leaders will appreciate.”

The event will take place beginning at 11:30 a.m., Dec. 4, in the Wally Allen Ballroom of the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. Tables and tickets are available at (501) 377-6040.

AT&T is one of the world’s largest technology, media and telecom companies, with more than $170 billion in 2018 revenue.
