ATU Donations Total $12.5M for Fiscal Year

1 min read

Arkansas Tech University on Monday reported that it received $12.5 million in gifts and pledges for the 2022 fiscal year.

The school in Russellville said donations to its nonprofit fundraising arm, the ATU Foundation, have more than doubled since fiscal 2019.

“Each gift to the ATU Foundation makes an authentic difference in the educational experience for our students,” Jason Geiken, ATU vice president for advancement, said in a news release. “Our advancement team is inspired on a daily basis by the alumni, friends and organizations who express alignment with Arkansas Tech’s mission and a desire to help us pursue our vision of student success, innovation and community engagement.

“As we begin the implementation phase of the ATU 2025 strategic plan this fall, there will be new opportunities to partner with those who have an affinity for Arkansas Tech and an appreciation of its role as a place of opportunity. We look forward to enhancing existing partnerships and building new ones.”

Arkansas Tech transitioned in July to a new academic structure as part of an ongoing plan to maintain financial stability.

The university announced last month that it’s planning to build a new $49 million student union and recreation center on a parcel of land currently occupied by the W.O. Young Building on campus.
