Balm Innovations Launches New Product, Expands to East Coast

2 min read

Arkansas-based Balm Innovations, the parent company of Omnibalm skin care products and a client of Innovate Arkansas, said Tuesday that it has launched a new skin cream in more than 100 drug stores and entered a partnership that will nearly double the availability of another product.

The new product, Omnibalm Skin Relief Cream, is an advanced hypoallergenic Omnibalm formula that cools, soothes and protects most any skin irritation, combining numerous medicine cabinet items into one tube, the company said.

"Open your medicine cabinet at home and you’ll probably find one cream for each skin need – hydration, burning, itching, and other irritations," said Lydia Carson, President and CEO of Balm Innovations. "Omnibalm Skin Relief Cream simplifies those needs into one, all-purpose cream that can easily be carried anywhere you go – in a purse, carry-on or a travel bag. It’s convenient and helps economize your medicine cabinet as well."

Omnibalm Skin Relief Cream was developed by University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) pharmaceutical researcher Dr. Bill Gurley and combines an FDA-approved skin protectant with effective moisturizers and 13 percent of the highest quality tea tree oil available.

"Tea tree oil has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties," Gurley said. "Omnibalm Skin Relief is dermatologist tested and serves to hydrate and protect skin as well as immediately soothe itching and burning, so you and your family can spend more time enjoying activities."

Balm Innovations also announced that its Daily Foot Therapy will now be available at all 102 Carolina-based Kerr Drug stores, nearly doubling its in-store availability.

Daily Foot Therapy is a cream for general and diabetic foot care that received national recognition as a "Small Chain Niche Pick" and a "Key Special Niche Product" in the respected Chain Drug Review’s Second Annual Niche Products Report.

"We’re very excited to partner with Kerr Drug to offer Omnibalm in North Carolina and South Carolina, and we’re confident Daily Foot Therapy will produce great results as a highlighted product in Kerr’s comprehensive diabetic section," Carson said.

Both Skin Relief and Daily Foot Therapy are available at USA Drug, Super D, Drug Warehouse, May’s Drug, Med-X Drug and Ike’s stores in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi and Missouri and online at Omnibalm.com.
