Banded Brands Hear Call to Springdale

2 min read

Did you know that a waterfowl hunting and outdoor gear company is flying toward Springdale?

Chuck Browning, CEO of Banded Holdings Inc. of Fayetteville, told us last week that the company raised $10 million — $5 million from investors and $5 million in debt — and part of that money was used to buy the Banded Brands license from Maxx Outdoors of Council Bluffs, Iowa. The price paid for the license wasn’t publicly disclosed, but some of the money raised went for working capital and inventory, Browning said. The deal was completed last month.

Maxx held the licenses of Banded Brands, which specializes in clothing for waterfowl hunting and hardware.

Browning said he’s in the process of moving the company’s fulfillment warehouse to a 48,000-SF building in Springdale. The transition should be completed this month or next.

The company has 10 employees, but Browning said that should increase.

Browning, an avid outdoorsman and duck hunter, said, “I saw a great opportunity here, and it was a growing brand.

“It had a lot of great talent, and it just needed the right capital structure and business plan to really be successful.”

The 4-year-old company’s merchandise is in retailers such as Mack’s Prairie Wings, Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops.

Banded will continue to produce the outdoor television shows “The Fowl Life” and “Dead Dog Walkin’,” televised on the Outdoor Channel, Sportsman’s Channel and Wild TV.
